This 18-hole course sits right in South Lake Tahoe. It features towering pine trees and great mountain views. The par 71 layout stretches out over 6,700 yards from the tips. A fun but challenging track for golfers of all skill levels.

#2 Tahoe Paradise Golf Course

Address: 3401 Foadi Drive, Mound House, NV 89706

A modern 18-hole design found just outside Lake Tahoe in Nevada. At nearly 7,000 yards, it’s one of the longer courses around. Generous fairways make it pretty forgiving. Great for taking in views of the Sierra Nevada mountains.

#3 Old Brockway Golf Course

Address: 300 Brockway Road, Kings Beach, CA 96143

An affordable 9-hole muni right on the north shore of Lake Tahoe. Tight, tree-lined fairways make it challenging for a shorter course. Great views of the lake from several holes. A favorite for locals and visitors alike.

#4 Tahoe City Golf Course

Address: 668 Country Club Drive, Tahoe City, CA 96145

Another affordable 9-hole municipal course located right in Tahoe City. It’s short but very walkable at under 3,000 yards. Amazing views of the lake and mountains throughout. A fun track for a quick family-friendly round.

#5 Northstar California Golf Course

Address: 19900 Grizzly Ranch Rd, Truckee, CA 96161

This championship 18-hole layout stretches out to nearly 8,000 yards from the tips. Dramatic elevation changes and tall pines make it a real test. Part of the Northstar Resort but open to public play.

#6 Plumas Pines Golf Resort

A scenic 18-hole resort course located about an hour north of Tahoe. It winds through tall pines and meadows at over 5,000 feet elevation. Nice variety of holes and stunning mountain backdrops.

#7 Whitehawk Ranch Golf Club

Another 18-hole resort course near Grizzly Ranch, just over an hour from Tahoe. At 7,600 yards, it’s a real beast from the back tees. Dramatic bunkering and elevation changes make it very challenging.

An 18-hole muni located about 30 minutes from South Lake Tahoe. It has wide-open fairways but streams and ponds add challenge. Nice views of the Sierra Nevada mountains in the distance.

#9 Genoa Lakes Golf Club

Address: 1038 Foothill Road, Genoa, NV 89411

With two championship 18-hole courses, this is one of the biggest public facilities near Tahoe. The Lakes and Resort courses both feature great variety with lakes, bunkers, and mountain vistas.
